PokéBonk browser guide: guest access, saves and safe starting
Find the creator’s PokéBonk browser game, understand guest progress and distinguish its current beta interface from older guides and other fan games.
The creator site and current beta
PokéBonk is a free, unofficial 3D survivor fan game at pokebonk.com. Its public introduction advertises Kanto Pokémon, evolving during survival runs, an Ultimate ability and League progression. This is a separate project from Pokémon Survivor and from the Platinum Together multiplayer modification.
Our October 21 browser inspection reached the English welcome screen, which displayed beta v0.7.10 and a connected-server message. We saw Guest, Enter, Create account and Play as a guest controls. This verifies the visible entry screen, not a completed run, a combat benchmark or every advertised feature. A guest-button attempt did not take our automated session beyond that screen, so we do not claim successful gameplay.
Use the creator site linked here instead of assuming similarly named guide domains host the original game. The site identifies the creator as Charcher and supplies its own community and legal links.
Understand guest progress before investing time
The welcome screen says you can play without signing up and that guest progress is saved on the server, tied to the device. It also offers turning the guest into an account later. Those statements should not be rewritten as “everything is stored only in the browser” or “all devices automatically share one guest.”
Our recommendation is to decide early whether you need to continue on another device. Read the current account-conversion prompt and confirm what it says about your existing progress before changing how you sign in. We did not create an account or test recovery, so this is preparation advice rather than a promise of cross-device migration.
If you have already started a guest save, avoid casually clearing site data or switching browser profiles while assuming the server will know which guest you were. A device-linked model still needs a way to identify that device. Preserve the original working session until you understand the project’s own recovery or account-linking procedure.
The creator’s legal notice adds that localStorage holds session and guest information, and that unnamed guest accounts and their progress are deleted after 60 days of inactivity. Session expiry is separately stated as 30 days without use. Those are published retention rules, not recovery behavior tested by GameRadar. Keep the local session and the server-side account distinction in mind when deciding how to preserve progress.
A useful first-run checklist without a fake tier list
Once your own session gets past the welcome screen, start by reading the controls and the current character-selection information. Check what an ability does before investing a scarce upgrade in it. We have not established a best starter, measured evolution timings or verified a complete unlock table for v0.7.10.
For a survival run, our suggested learning goal is to change one decision at a time. Notice whether a failure came from movement, an upgrade choice or misunderstanding a prompt; then adjust that part on the next attempt. That is a method for learning a game, not a claim that we survived a particular stage or tested a winning build.
Be careful with older videos. A version number on a recording gives context that a generic “latest guide” heading does not. Compare the visible character menu and any requirements with your current build before committing to a long route from an earlier beta. We have not verified that every old unlock or balance claim still applies.
If the browser entry stalls
First distinguish a page-loading problem from an in-game problem. Can you see the welcome screen? Does it show a connection state? Does a button respond, or are you still waiting at the same entry screen? Recording those observations makes a report much more useful than simply saying the whole game is broken.
Try the creator’s current page in an up-to-date browser before installing anything from an unrelated download portal. We have not verified an official Android APK, a desktop installer or a console version, so none is offered here as a required fix. Do not enter game-account credentials into a guide site claiming it can repair your save.
The creator labels this an independent, non-profit fan project and says it has no ads, purchases or donations. We have not audited those claims or its code. Our Platinum Together access guide covers a different fan project with different platform and game-copy requirements; our Pokémon GO event guide covers the official mobile game instead.
Frequently asked questions
- Did GameRadar play a full PokéBonk run?
- No. We inspected the live welcome screen and its v0.7.10 beta label. Our automated guest attempt remained there, so no run completion, build ranking or performance claim is made.
- Do I need an account?
- The welcome screen advertises guest play without signup and later account conversion. We have not tested that conversion or progress recovery.
- Is guest progress only stored locally?
- The current welcome screen says it is stored on the server and tied to the device. Do not assume another device or browser profile automatically resolves to the same guest.
- Is this an official Pokémon game?
- No. The creator explicitly labels it an unofficial fan project with no affiliation to the Pokémon rights holders.
