Pokémon GO Minior showers and Dialga: dates, forms and planning

Updated 3 min readBy GameRadar Editorial

Pokémon GO Minior showers are underway; Dynamax Dialga is announced for November. Compare the local-time windows and avoid mixing up forms.

Pokémon GO Minior showers: the current window

Pokémon GO Minior showers run during the Orionids from October 19 at 5 p.m. through October 24 at 11:59 p.m. local time, according to the official announcement checked October 20, 2026. That current wild-encounter window is different from November’s announced Dynamax Dialga event.

Minior appears in Meteor Form, and the announcement describes seven core colors introduced across different meteor showers. It does not identify every color as available everywhere during this one October window. A complete color collection should not be promised from a single evening’s walk.

Plan around the enhanced evening period

During each shower, the official announcement gives 5–9 p.m. local time each day as the shooting-star period with an increased chance to encounter Minior. That daily enhancement sits inside the longer event window; it is not a statement that the entire event ends at 9 p.m. Catching Minior also awards increased Stardust, without a specific amount stated in this announcement.

Our recommendation is to choose a familiar, safe route and a realistic session length within the enhanced period. Check your supplies before leaving and use the in-game news for a last-minute change. Do not assume that “increased chance” means a guaranteed spawn at a particular stop, a fixed number per hour or an improved Shiny rate. None of those figures is established here.

Meteor Form and Core Form are battle behavior

The Pokémon GO team says Minior changes from Meteor Form when its health falls below 50%, trading a more defensive profile for a more attacking one. Initially, the listed supported contexts are Team GO Rocket, team leaders and GO Battle League. This is not a claim that the mechanic works in every battle type.

Keep encounter availability, color collection and battle behavior as three separate questions. Seeing a form change in one battle does not prove which core colors are available in your region. We have not tested a competitive moveset or damage matchup, so this guide does not rank Minior for a particular league.

Dialga: an upcoming Dynamax date, not an October raid claim

The official GO Wild Area Global page announces November 14 and 15, 2026, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. local time. It specifically places Dynamax Dialga on Saturday, November 14, and Dynamax Palkia on Sunday, November 15, in Max Battles.

That is an upcoming event during this October 20 check. It is not evidence that ordinary Dialga or Origin Forme Dialga is currently in raids. The page also advertises ticket-holder extras; distinguish those from the event’s general encounter announcements before deciding whether an optional ticket suits you. We have not purchased a ticket or verified an account’s particular entitlement.

If Dialga is your goal, put the Saturday in your calendar and consult the current Max Battle information in-game before planning a group. A raid guide written for another form or encounter type is not automatically an appropriate team plan. We do not invent counters, group-size guarantees or catch probabilities from the announcement alone.

A short checklist for two different event goals

For Minior, prioritize the current shower dates and the daily enhanced period. For Dynamax Dialga, prepare for the announced November Saturday and check later official updates nearer the event. Save the source link alongside the date so that a screenshot of an old schedule does not become your only reference.

If you are looking for a browser fan game instead of Pokémon GO, our Pokémon Survivors guide identifies separate projects and their own controls. Their Pokémon rosters, tier advice and event systems do not transfer to Pokémon GO. Each game and each form needs its own evidence.
