Martin No Filter Fighters: where to play and how to start
Play Martin No Filter Fighters through its creator, learn the keyboard layout and understand sidekicks, modes and the current fan-game build.
Martin No Filter Fighters: use the creator’s page
Martin No Filter Fighters is an unofficial fan-made fighting game available through Trey2k23's itch.io page. The creator offers a browser build and desktop downloads. Start with that page rather than a re-upload: it is where the current files and development notes can be compared.
This is a fan tribute, not an officially licensed Martin game. GameRadar links to the creator instead of embedding or redistributing its characters, music or downloadable files. The page remains marked in development. Treat a guide to the current build as a starting point, not a promise that an online room or every device will behave identically.
Keyboard controls and your first practice match
The creator lists WASD movement for player one, F/G/V/B attacks, H for the special, T/Y for supers and C for the sidekick. Player two uses the arrow keys, J/K/M/comma attacks, L special, I/O supers and period for the sidekick. Settings allows remapping; controller users are told to press a button to activate detection.
Start in Training and test movement before combining actions. Our suggested sequence is a few steps forward and back, a single attack, a special and then the sidekick input. This is a way to discover how your chosen fighter responds, not a verified combo or frame-data chart. If two people share a keyboard, agree on the layout before starting a versus match.
Check which window has focus when inputs appear unresponsive. In a browser, clicking outside the game can send keys to the page instead. If several keys together fail while each works separately, try a different binding or controller before assuming the move does not exist.
Sidekicks, stages and what changed recently
The creator's current page describes selecting a fighter and a sidekick, with each character usable only once in that match. That makes the second selection a separate decision: consider whether you want to learn one interaction thoroughly before changing both slots.
The v13.2 development note adds Bob from Marketing and The Corporate Party stage. It also describes stage transitions through ceilings and floors, including the connection between Martin’s apartment and Bruh-Man’s Fifth Flo’. The earlier v12.9 note introduces Bruh-Man and desktop downloads. Those changes are why an older nine-character summary should not be treated as the current roster.
Our recommendation is to learn a stage’s ordinary space first, then experiment with transitions in a low-pressure mode. Do not assume a wall or floor behaves the same across every arena. Keep a note of the build when comparing your observations with another player’s video; a move or stage interaction can change between uploads.
Choose a mode for the question you want to answer
The main page lists Story, Arcade, Versus, Training, CPU Showcase and room-code Online Versus. Training is the sensible place to check a binding; a versus match is where two players can compare their choices. A mode list alone does not establish ranked matchmaking, server regions or rollback performance, so none is promised here.
For local play, test both players’ controls before committing to a long session. For an online invitation, share the room code privately with the intended opponent and first confirm you are using the same current version. We have not measured online latency or completed the story, so this is a setup guide rather than a performance review.
If you prefer another short browser session, browse Play Online. For this fan game’s updates, return to the creator’s development log: it explains concrete additions more reliably than a download mirror with an undated roster.

- Yes, the creator offers a browser build. Desktop downloads are an alternative on the same itch.io page; check the current files and platform labels there.
- Does it support a controller?
- The creator documents controller detection and remapping. We have not tested every controller or device, so check recognition and bindings before starting a match.
- Is Bob from Marketing playable?
